Maybe there are some history museums near where you live that have preserved or reconstructed old houses. There are different kinds of historic houses in different parts of America. Do you live in New England or in the Midwest? Then there might be log cabins or sod houses that belonged to the colonists or pioneers. Do you live in the Southwest? Maybe there are some Native American pueblos. Or do you live in the South? Then there might be plantation houses with slave cabins. Try to go visit these old houses near where you live.
