model of a gold bowl

Trojan gold bowl, made by 6th graders at Laurelhurst School, Portland

About 1250 BC, the Greek army fought their neighbors the Trojans in the Trojan War. Troy was across the Aegean Sea from Greece. The people of Troy were rich (some of them) and had gold bowls like this one. Actually, so did the Greeks in the Late Bronze Age.

To make a gold bowl like this one for a project, make a bowl the right shape out of clay, let it dry, and then paint it with gold paint.
